College selection is one of the most stressful times for both parents and students. Facing their most expensive purchase outside of their home, the stakes and consequences are high. Parents often find this process totally foreign from when they applied to school, and since admissions are competitive, they are concerned that they will have a competitive disadvantage.

When combined with a hockey future, the prospects of scholarships, and the need for financial aid, the stress and lack of information multiplies. Other consultants may understand general sports recruiting, but ice hockey is a unique experience among NCAA sports. Iceworld Player Consulting’s experts have helped hundreds of players find their correct fit in college hockey, prep, juniors or professional ranks. Our reach runs deep from elite youth hockey to Juniors, College and right on to the AHL and NHL coaching ranks. We have contacts from Maine to Florida in the east, a base in Chicago in the mid-west and as far west as Los Angeles.

Our Services and Fees:
We offer 3 levels of service in order to allow you to choose the program that fits your needs:

Consultation: An informational approach with resource access to one of our placement consultants. The focus here is on educating the family and profiling the athlete in our candidate database, plus providing you with various tools to begin your journey, and directing the family toward establishing the appropriate goals.
Our Fee:
$300

Evaluative approach: A Consultative and Evaluative approach; the above family consultation plus an objective review of player skills which will lead to goal setting on training and skill development, tournament recommendations, as well as access to mini-camps with other comparable players.
Our Fee:
$1,000

This service is best suited to freshmen and younger players who are still developing as hockey players and not certain their current skills are ready for post-high school competition, but want to best prepare for their future.

Assertive approach: A Consultative, Evaluative and Assertive approach. Here we are along side of you to the finish line. All of the above services plus live game/practice assessments, access to showcase tournaments, future school identification matched with the player’s academic and skill profile. We utilize our knowledge and contacts at target schools to get you noticed, point you to open doors and work to get you the best fit at your next level.

This service is best suited to sophomores, juniors and seniors, who want someone to lead their attempt to play beyond high school.
